Häring AG was selected, as part of a Swiss–Chinese partnership, to undertake the engineering, production, and supply of one of the project's buildings during the final quarter of 2020.
Our expertise in improving the resource efficiency of the structural concept was key to successfully optimising the design. This optimisation was achieved within a very limited preparation period thanks to the dedication and commitment of our engineering team.
Production commenced in early 2021. One of the project's major challenges was that every structural member was unique. The exceptional level of engineering detail, comprehensive fabrication planning, and the use of highly precise CNC manufacturing technology were instrumental in ensuring a straightforward and efficient assembly process, which was carried out by a local erection team.
In just three months, Häring manufactured more than 1,300 m³ of engineered timber components. Together with trusted logistics partners, our team coordinated the complex international transport of the materials by air, sea, and rail - despite the unprecedented restrictions, border closures, and logistical challenges during the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic.
