Multipurpose hall, Kaisten (CH)

For the Municipality of Kaisten, Häring constructed a triple sports hall with an integrated cafeteria, featuring a simple yet distinctive architectural design. The single-storey sports hall, complemented by a two-storey annex, is conceived as a clean, flat-roofed cubic volume with generous glazed façades.

The roof structure was engineered as a cassette roof using high-performance glued laminated timber (glulam). Additional advantages of the sports complex include its short construction period, the use of natural, untreated building materials, and outstanding thermal insulation.

The sports hall represents a sound and politically sustainable investment for the municipality, enhancing the community’s attractiveness as a place to live and work while supporting the development of young athletes.
